About Lastingham Country Lodge
Our country lodge and farm was named "LASTINGHAM" after a vicarage in North Yorkshire, by
the Lidgett family, who immigrated to South Africa in 1849. The small village nearby is named Lidgetton.
Set in 40 acres of pastureland, the original family homestead built in 1912 has been restored to its full Victorian/Edwardian splendour by your hosts, Mike Macnab
and Lynne Holding.
About Lynne and Mike
Lynn is a skilled interior decorator whose talent is reflected in the quality and style of the decor in the luxurious bedrooms. Mike is a wine connoisseur and an active promoter of the wonders of KwaZulu Natal's Midlands Meander.
Our verandah overlooking the garden is an ideal place to relax, catch up on some reading or enjoy a night-cap.
